Associated Students of Tillamook Bay Community College  (ASTBCC)

The ASTBCC operates under a constitution designed to promote student activities that stimulate the social, physical, moral, and intellectual growth of students.  It is organized to benefit the students, the college, and the community, and to provide opportunity for student input. All credit and non-credit students currently enrolled at TBCC are members of ASTBCC.  Watch the reader board in the Main Lobby and bulletin boards around campus for flyers announcing activities and leadership opportunities. Bradley Springs

Brad Springs

President

I have lived in Tillamook area since 1st grade. I am going to school for Agriculture Science. I would like to transfer to Oregon State and get a degree in Ag. Sales. I like the laid back atmosphere of TBCC. I wanted to get involved with student government to help out our school and help make lasting change. Some advice that I would give to students is to not overload on credits in the first term, and never underestimate the preparation time for writing a paper.

Zach Crivella-Bloomer

Vice President

I have lived in Tillamook all my life. I am going to school for a degree in Culinary Arts and Hospitality, Tourism, and Recreational Management. I would like to transfer to a college to get a degree in Psychology and eventually become a Certified Personal Trainer - combining all three degrees to become a Life Coach for holistic healing. I like the small class size at TBCC, allowing for more personal relationships. I became involved with student government for more variety and hopefully to add my own creative mark to our student environment. Some advice I would give to students is to join PTK for scholarship opportunities whether or not you desire to become a full member and to participate in ASTBCC events.

Caitlin Edgar

Finance Manager

I have lived in Tillamook all my life. I am going to school for an Associates of Science so that I can transfer to Oregon State to get a Bachelors of Science and then go to grad school for pathology. I like that it is a good value for the money and I will be able to get my core classes out of the way for little expense. I became part of ASTBCC because President Springs persuaded me to get involved. Some advice I would give students is to make sure that you have long and short term goals for your education.

Katie Springs

Office Manager

I have lived in Tillamook about 16 years. I am going to school to achieve an Associates of Art Oregon Transfer degree. I like the small classes and the affordability of TBCC and being able to get to know your instructors and fellow students. I became involved in the student government to work more with people and better our school through positive impacts. Some advice that I would give to students is to make sure you ask for help when needed, and do NOT get discouraged. There are great resources available to help you. STAY POSITIVE!

Diana Gutzke

Public Relations Manager

I have lived in Tillamook for about 7 years. I am going to school to become a doctor. I want to be a doctor with compassion. I really like the unification of students during difficult times that shows comaraderie not seen in most places. I participate in student government to become the change that I would like to see in our system. I enjoy being President and learning a lot of things as I go along. Some advice I would give to students is to be resilient, resourceful, and to NEVER give up, but most of all, NEVER feel like you are alone because we are all in this together.
