Adult Basic Skills
Adult Basic Skills (ABS or ABE) classes are designed for adult learners who need to learn or brush up on skills to meet work, education or personal goals. The course offers education to improve reading, writing and math skills. While in class, students learn at their own pace while building upon past experience and knowledge. The classes are open to anyone age 16 and above. For those students who are 16 or 17 years of age, a Release from Compulsory Attendance Notice must be provided to the TBCC instructor in order to begin coursework. These releases are available through the school district the student is enrolled.
