Financial Aid Announcements

  • Beginning summer term 2013 and with your 2013-2014 FAFSA, TBCC financial aid will be processed by Tillamook Bay Community College.

    • Financial Aid students must submit a copy of their award letter to the Bookstore or Business Office after accepting it online.
    • TBCC financial aid students are encouraged to use direct deposit for quickest access to their funds. Students not using direct deposit will be mailed a check to the address on file.

2 File FAFSA

Apply early! Eligibility for financial aid is determined by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). You must reapply each year for financial aid and meet the eligibility requirements.

4 Manage Your Award

  • Watch the TBCC financial aid webpage and your TBCC email for financial aid information and steps required to receive your award.
  • Return completed and signed requirements to TBCC promptly
  • Update your contact information by submitting changes online or in person.
  • Accept or decline your financial aid award (funding is not available without an award letter).
  • TBCC students will receive financial aid refunds by direct deposit or mailed check.

Factors Affecting Financial Aid Eligibility

To retain your award, you must remain enrolled in the required number of credits and complete at least two-thirds of attempted credits successfully each term. Dropped, audited, and retroactively dropped courses cannot be counted toward required enrollment. If you accept a student loan and then you drop below half-time, your loan funds for that term can be canceled and returned to your lender. Awards are made based on the assumption that students will be attending full-time, students attending less than full-time are required to submit a revision request.
