Library Research and Beyond

Provides an overview of the research process, and helps students build essential research skills. Students will identify their research topic, plan and carry out their research process, and identify and cite preferred sources of credible information on their topics.


Week 1

"Everyone does research. Some just do it better than others."

Week 2

Week 3

"Before we launch you into new sources for research data, it's probably a good idea to rehearse where we've been."

      Using the resources discussed in class, find three articles on your topic


    Review final presentation worksheet, and bring your questions to next week's class

    Chapters 5, 6 and Appendix 1 section A1.4

Week 4

"A gentle warning about the horrible crime of plagiarism"

      Create a works cited page for the resources you have chosen


      Type up your answers to the questions contained on the final presentation worksheet
